2012 Electrical Learnership:  16 JANUARY 2012

National Certificate Electrical Engineering, NQF L2 Learnership Program

To become a qualified electrician the learner must be prepared to learn for approximately 3 years.  There are three levels: below explains the procedure to follow: 

1.       1st Level:  NQF Level 2,  11 months (Including N2, Electrical Trade Theory)

2.       2nd Level: NQF Level 3,  11 months (Including N2 Mathematics).

3.       3rd Level:  NQF Level 4,  11 months (Including N2 Science)

4.       Trade Test Preparation, 15 days

5.       Final: Trade Test , 3 days (Section 13)

The following program details are for the Entry level, NQF Level 2.

This learnership will be provided during working hours from 8h30 – 15h00, and consist of practical- fundamental and “on job training”.


Minimum requirements: 

1.       Grade 10 with mathematics and science.    

2.       Must be older than 16 years.

3.       N2 Electrical subjects: (Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics and Science will be provided during the course at an additional as described in the costs below.

1.        FRIDAY: 12 October  2012:  10h00 -11h00

2.        FRIDAY: 11 November 2012 : 10h00-11h00

3.       WEDNESDAY Evening:  30 November 2012, 18h00 -17h00.

1.       16 November 2012:  09h30 – 12h00

2.       23 November 2012 :  09h30 – 12h00

The OUTLINE below declares the unit standards (fundamentals, core, and electives) to be presented by Protech Training and an employer during the above training period. The training period will be subject to change due to unit standard registration, end dates as possible well as recognition of prior learning (RPL) that will be conducted prior to course commencement.
